What is Munki?
Munki is a new software administration tool that will allow us to manage everything from Apple Software updates to business-specific software like Microsoft Office, VMware with Windows 7, Adobe products and more!
How does it work?
For Munki to work, first you must enrol your computer by running the a QuickAdd that we have create for you. We can organise an office wide enrollment for maximum efficiency or you can enrol yourself!
Enrolment is a walk in the park however, please make sure that you have saved all your work before running the QuickAdd as this will require a restart to complete the installation.

What do you need to know?
Not a lot! Once the you enrol you will have a new app called 'Managed Software Center' in Applications > Utilities, which will run periodically to keep you up-to-date. Please put this in your Dock.
Your first software update check may take some time but once the first one is out of the way, the rest will be much quicker. When running updates choose 'Update without logging out' by default.
